FAQs

Quick answers about onboarding, privacy, GDPR, rollout, and how learning paths work.

Platform basics

How the platform structures a consistent, private starter experience.

BJS Induction makes onboarding easier to manage by replacing inconsistent spreadsheet and email processes with a clear path for every new starter. People know what to do next, and managers can see progress quickly without chasing separate records.

Learning paths are broken into simple steps and milestones. They can be adjusted by role or department while keeping the core onboarding experience consistent across the organisation.

Yes. Company-specific content stays private and is only available to authorised people. Public pages describe the platform but do not expose internal training, company information, or private course materials.

Management & compliance

How managers track progress and teams support compliance workflows.

Managers can see completed, overdue, and upcoming work so they can intervene before someone falls behind and keep onboarding moving without manual status chasing.

BJS Induction can support compliance with checkpoints, deadlines, and confirmations. It can also work alongside existing policy or compliance systems where those processes already need to remain in place.

Start simply with a small group and a few modules, test the flow, then expand across teams and departments once the core onboarding path is working well.

Data protection

How onboarding records are handled under UK data protection expectations.

BJS Induction may process onboarding records such as user identity, role or department, assigned learning, progress, completion dates, confirmations, and compliance checkpoint activity. This information is used to provide training, monitor onboarding progress, support managers, evidence completion, and meet employment, policy, or regulatory obligations. Access is restricted to authorised people with a legitimate need, and access is removed when someone leaves the organisation. Records are retained for six years after employment ends unless a law or regulation requires a longer period. After the retention period, records are securely deleted or anonymised. The platform is operated in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
